Bus 123
The day started with breakfast and then a walk down the same road to the bus stop where we took bus 123. This bus normally took us directly to Sentosa. From Orchard Road, the route is very well planned.
It’s great that from there it’s a very scenic route throughout Sentosa World Resort and directly to the Universal Globe. We obviously took a photo.
UNIVERSALL
We decided the best way to tackle the theme park was to start at the end and, looking back, that was a good call. We finished that section in less than 45 minutes and even had time to do the dragon ride twice the ride had some drops, but it was pretty short. I was a bit scared about roller coasters, but this time it was worth it.
We did all of the roller coasters, and of course my brother was always ready to go again. I would have been terrified at that age. I’m really proud of him.
The Shrek movie was good. I feel like it really has its own group and it should maybe be made a little bit more for more for elders too.
The Puss in Boots ride was pretty bad. There were too many stops and not enough drops, but otherwise it was OK. It also had a decent story, unlike some of the others which tried to have one, even like Battlestar Galactica.
THAT MUMMY RIDE
The Mummy ride is the best one here by far. It has a great story, a cool theme, and it’s not just a roller coaster. It’s more of an experience. The other ones just seem like roller coasters. IN those, there’s not much to get from a story, which is a shame because Battlestar Galactica would really be a level up if it had a story because it generally is the best rides.
We made sure our parents took this ride.
Wterworld
I really enjoyed Waterworld. I loved the premise. I thought the crowd work was great, and it was such an immersive experience. All the student actors were very skilled, enthusiastic and I would love to see it again. Although the storyline might be a little complex, I really liked the idea behind it.
Jurssic Prk
The biggest letdown of the entire day was the Jurassic Park water ride being closed for the day AAAAAA. I was pretty disappointed when I found out. That’s one of the best rides, even though it’s not as big or as good as the other one at Universal LA.
The other ride was fine. It was a good ride to see the whole park from above. It was pretty slow and not scary even going backwards.
SCIFY WORLD
The best world by far is the cylon ride. It was so intense that it was difficult to keep your eyes open. There were so many drops, so many upside-down parts, and so much movement to the side. It was a lot of fun. We went on that ride three times in total. By the end, we could keep our eyes open for the entire ride. I was always excited to go on that ride.
The other one, which had a rocketship theme, was also really good. It had an exceptionally long waiting time, it was fun, but not as much fun as the cylon. We went to the rocker ship one twice. The second time, there was no waiting time.
One of the cooler rides was the Transformer ride. I like the way they’ve used the choice scene to create a great story and an enjoyable experience. I also liked the way they made the show. My mum loved it, and they made it a very family-friendly experience.
The cafe was also good. It had the usual universal tax, and it was a good place to eat. They stuck with their theme, which made me happy. :D
Lights Camera Action
Made by director Steven Spielberg I loved the behind the scenes. I like how they’ve used this idea for simulating hurricane levels, but I would be much happier if they could make it a little longer. This was very short. I don’t think it did it justice like it did in LA; there’s so much more to see in LA. This wasn’t even close.
Strbucks
It was pretty surprising that only Starbucks didn’t have the usual Universal tax, with their normal price being seven lower than here in Marina Bay. So we took the opportunity to buy Starbucks. I got a pink drink with strawberry acai, my brother got a pink lemonade, and my dad got his usual caramel macchiato.
Home
Me and Ayush got some cup noodles and headed home alone. My mum and dad decided to go to Bugis Street to do some shopping. They also brought some Arabic food, which was great!
